Funny story. Everyone lately, at work, has been commenting on how great I look. One girl even poked my sides while she was waling behind me and said “Skinny-Mini”, asked me if my blouse was nes and that my lunchtime walkies with my friend must be working. I laughed and said to keep smoking whatever it is she’s smoking because it’s altering her vision. It’s funny – I think I’ve actually gained weight, not lost it. Don’t tell me my clothes look better on me because I’m chunkier! Good Lord!!
Since then, I’ve been trying to bike ride more (in preparation for the Lung Association’s Trek for Life in September) so hopefully, the weight will begin to come off. My friend and I biked 30km on Saturday, and, while it was exhausting, it felt GREAT! (That reminds me, I still haven’t done the 20 sit ups I promised my friend I’d do every day until we did a bike ride again . . . I also promised to ride at least 30 minutes a day . . . .guess what I’m doing when I get home!)
So, here’s to me:
- doing 20 sit ups every day;
- riding at least 30 minutes a day (and, possibly, up some pesky hills); and
- losing a bit of weight in the process.
